Only newly arrived is our range of Grand Cru Champagnes from Champagne J.L.Vergnon in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger. Christophe Constant is in charge of the ship here. Vines are all picked late to gain optimum ripeness with the malo-lactic being blocked. The Conversation is the entry level wine – and upon its debut tasting – it is superb. Color is a pale lemon, extremely fine mousse – there is ripeness on the nose – hints of tropical along with citrus and earthy aromas. Palate is precise, elegant and very very long. Stunning Champagne!
two:bob is at 270 Queens Parade Clifton Hill Melbourne, in the old bank building. The fit out is clean and spacious. Coffee is by ‘Coffee Supreme’ in Abbotsford – and is quite excellent. Service was great and the menu looked really interesting. We had the Bircher Muesli, Corn and Zucchini fritters, Coconut, oat and raspberry loaf, and Poached eggs with smoked salmon. Worth a try and five star rating easy! Notice the name is all lower case and don’t forget the colon!
Upon a recent visit we can safely confirm that all is going well. French Toast was excellent and coffee was superb. Upgrade to Six star rating – website coming soon at www.twobob.net.au .
On a recent trip around Tasmania , we were astounded as to the quality of cakes, pastries and sensational sourdough bread from Tant Pour Tant. 226 Charles St. Launceston. This just stands out in quality and surpasses most mainland bakeries. An oasis of culinary delight in Launceston.
